Project Playlist
Here’s a guide on how to download songs off of Project Playlist
Table of Contents
- 2008-09-06 - Updated to work with Firefox 3.0, much faster
- 2008-06-16 - Page Created
- First, make sure you’re using Mozilla Firefox. If you’re not, download it from here. This guide has been tested with Mozilla Firefox Version 3.
- Start up Firefox and click on this link. Install the extension.
- A popup should appear asking for you to restart Firefox in order to complete the installation. Click the “Restart Firefox” button, and wait for Firefox to reload.
- You are now officially done with the installation! Visit playlist.com and search for a song in the search box. A page will come up with the results from your search.
Look at this screenshot for an example:Screenshot taken down. Next to each song title, there should be a “download song” link. Right click that link and select “Save Link As” and save it anywhere on your computer.
And that’s it! Any problems, leave a comment, and I’ll get back to you ASAP (make sure to leave your right email or else it will be impossible to get back to you.)

i just started using playlist.com and noticed that firefox 3.01 wont even show/load the player unless i click the ‘pop out player’ link. ie loads the player fine and plays as it should. have you had any such trouble?>
I kind of don’t understand. Are you trying to download the songs, or just play them?
I clicked on the link u said to install extension, a box came up for u to either find, or save. What do I do?

Are you using Firefox 3.0? I only tested this with the new version of Firefox, not 2.5.
If you do have Firefox 3.0 and it still doesn’t work, there is a workaround. Save it somewhere, and then find it and drag the file that you downloaded into the Firefox window. It should then ask to install the extension.
